SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - The Arroyo Seco Saints (5-10) are heading on the road for the weekend to face the San Luis Obispo Blues (17-4) in a three game series.
This will be the first meeting between the Saints and Blues this season and the first time the Saints face a team from the North Division of the California Collegiate League. The Blues lead their division with a three-game winning streak.
The Saints dropped to the Academy Barons on Wednesday and are looking to turn the page from the loss, establishing a new start half way through the season.
Sean Asperger (Undecided) gave the Saints' their one and only run in home run fashion in the third inning.
After Wyatt Toth's (Undecided) strong outing, the Barons offense exploded in the seventh inning where the score completely shifted the momentum.
In the Blues' last game, they were able to overcome the Santa Barbara Foresters handing them their second loss of the season in a close game finishing with the score 3-1.
The Saints look to start a hot streak before the All-Star break next week to build up some momentum entering the second half of the season.
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. PDT and available to stream on the Arroyo Seco Saints YouTube channel.
