SANTA BARBARA, CA – The Arroyo Seco Saints (4-7) are heading to Santa Barbara to face the Santa Barbara Foresters (11-1) on June 20. The Saints will attempt to build another win streak after losing last night to the Foresters 13-9.
The Saints had some momentum going into the game last night after their exciting win against the Philippines Baseball Group followed by their win against the OC Riptide.
The Saints shined in the second inning with newcomer Zach Leite (Old Dominion University) leading off and hitting a double to start a rally. Canon King (UC San Diego), Brayden Flores (Loyola Marymount University) and Carson Panarisi (Cal State Los Angeles) all hit RBIs to put the Saints in the lead.
The Saints' batting is currently in 4th overall in the California Collegiate League with a batting average of .278.
Flores is currently 2nd in the league for RBIs, racking up 15 in 10 games played, and is just two shy of tying the leader Hunter Carlson of the Sonoma Stompers.
As the Foresters continue to stay strong at the top of the Southern Division, the Saints have given them a couple close runs with their first match up finishing 6-4 Foresters.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and the game can be streamed on the Arroyo Seco Saints YouTube channel.
