Saints Look to Begin Momentum
Saints Look to Face Philippines Baseball Group for the first time this 2026 season
PASADENA, CA- The Arroyo Seco Saints (2-6) face Philippines Baseball Group (0-4) for the first time this 2026 season on June 16. The Saints were defeated by the Conejo Oaks 4-9 on June 14 at Ventura College and will return home to Jackie Robinson Field.
Coming off a five game losing streak, the Saints look to begin momentum with the Philippines. Last season, they faced each other two times with the Saints taking one of them.
In Sunday's away game, the Saints had a breakout third inning scoring 4 runs with a double steal and throwing error that put the Saints on the board. Evan Reiter (Santa Ana College) hit a RBI triple to bring in the game tying run.
Though the score remained close most of the game, the late innings got away from the Saints. In the seventh, the Oaks managed to score four runs. Saints left 12 runners on base, unable to capitalize off chances the Oaks gifted.
As a California Collegiate League affiliate, the Philippines Baseball Group is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to developing and promoting baseball players of Filipino heritage. Mirroring the Saints in their last away game, the Conejo Oaks beat them 6-4 in their most recent game in Ventura.
Tune in to the Arroyo Seco Saints live broadcast to witness this first meeting of the two teams. First pitch is scheduled for 5:35 p.m.
