Saints Look for First Success at Home
PASADENA, CA – The Arroyo Seco Saints (1-1) seek their first home game win against the San Diego Bombers (2-0) on June 7th at Jackie Robinson Field in Pasadena.
Last night in Compton, the Saints came out victorious 6-5 in an electrifying back and forth game in their first away game against the Academy Barons (1-1). Major League Baseball's Youth Academy not only hosts the Saints first road game, but also their first win of the summer.
Canon King, who recently announced his commitment to the University of California San Diego, led the team on Saturday as he hit two singles and scored the go-ahead run in the 9th after his double to left-center.
Bryce Robinette (Undecided) at third base stood out on defense, making great defensive picks at the hot corner. Griffen Rogers (Occidental College) came into the 8th as relief on the mound, using his fastball to seamlessly shut down the Barons with back-to-back strikeouts and giving his infield a groundout to end the inning.
Today, Saints RHP Colin Caycedo (Undecided) makes his season debut as he takes the mound against the San Diego Bombers. In his last regular-season appearance, the Torrance native pitched a scoreless inning with Golden West College.
The Bombers are coming off of two losses against the Orange County Riptide (2-1) to open their season, in total, scoring two runs across their last two games.
In the 2025 season, the Saints and Bombers met twice, with the Saints winning 7-4 in both matchups. Both teams look to gain some momentum towards their season records, but only one will respond with a win.
